On my turn, I use the “Action:” ability of Ritual of Life (DT 391), and sacrifice a friendly Deepwater Gruen (DT 416). I have another copy of Deepwater Gruen in my discard pile already, can I resolve the ability of Ritual of Life to bring it back to my hand?
Yes, Ritual of Life’s ability can bring back any other creature from the discard pile except for the creature card that was sacrificed during the resolution of the first sentence of its “Action:” ability.
